Located in the east of the Quinta do Lago resort, Pinheiros Altos is considered one of the premier golf resorts in Europe. Nestled amidst the Pine Trees of the Ria Formosa, it is located just a short five minute drive to Quinta do Lago beach. The top attraction of the resort is the 27 hole championship golf course surrounded by lush gardens and colonial style villas. There is also a restaurant and bar located at the club house. Pinheiros Altos offers 24 hour security. All of the detached holiday villas are decorated to a high standard and come complete with private swimming pool. The apartments/townhouses without pool all have access to one of the communal pools. The nearest supermarket is located in the Bugainvilia Plaza at the entrance to Quinta do Lago estate. For a larger supermarket, we recommend Apolonia in Almancil. The Quinta do Lago plaza with its selection of restaurants and bars is five minutes’ drive away. Also located nearby in Valeverde is the popular Florian restaurant. At the Quinta do Lago lake you will find Casa do Lago serving fish and meat specialities with stunning views from it’s outdoor terrace. Here you will also find the most recent addition to Quinta do Lago, The Shack. Well worth a visit is Casa Velho. Located in an old farmhouse building, this restaurant has one of the prettiest terraces in the area.
