Vilamoura lies in the heart of the Algarve in an area known as the Golden Triangle. The resort is centred around the lively Marina where it is possible to charter boats for fishing. There are plenty of restaurants and bars dotted around the marina catering for holiday makers. Vilamoura is home to six championship golf courses including the Victoria Clube de Golfe which hosted the World Cup in 2005 and the Grand Masters in 2007.
